Online fraud, spam messages will be banned

The new 'Message Traceability System' of TRAI has come into effect from Wednesday. This will enable tracing the source of the messages coming on the user's mobile. Also, this system has removed the worry of delay in receiving OTP on the user's mobile. TRAI officials said that on the first day, only a nominal number of text messages were rejected due to this system. Users got the necessary commercial messages. Its purpose is to stop spam and find out about the entire chain of every commercial message reaching the users. This rule will also help in preventing online fraud. Fake commercial messages sent by hackers will be blocked at the network level itself. According to TRAI, 90% of the operators sending commercial messages have registered.
