The tournament will have 8 teams, which will be divided into two groups. The top two teams of each group will reach the semi-finals. The ICC announced that this arrangement will also cover the Women's World Cup to be held in India next year and the T20 World Cup to be jointly organized by India and Sri Lanka in 2026. Also, this agreement will also apply to the Women's T20 World Cup to be held in Pakistan in 2028.
