Shivraj gets relief from court in defamation case
The Supreme Court on Monday stayed the issuance of bailable warrants against Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan and two other BJP leaders. The court gave this order in a defamation case filed by Congress Rajya Sabha MP Vivek Tankha. A bench of Justices Rishikesh Roy and SVN Bhatti has issued a notice to Vivek Tankha and sought a reply. Let us tell you that Shivraj and two others are accused of making defamatory statements before the Panchayat elections in Madhya Pradesh in 2021. In this case, the Special Court had registered a case and issued summons.
