Surat | The conspiracy to cause a train accident by removing fish plates from the railway track on Mumbai-Delhi main line was exposed within 48 hours. Investigation revealed that track man Subhash Kumar, who first informed about the fault in the track, was the main conspirator. Track man Manish Kumar and contract worker Shubham were also involved in the conspiracy with him. NIA, Gujarat ATS, Police and RPF had formed separate teams of 140 people in this case. Investigation revealed that Subhash and his associates started opening the padlocks and nuts of the tracks at 1.30 am on Saturday night.
