The first case of the Mpox virus has been found in India. It has been confirmed in a man who returned from an African country struggling with infection. However, the Union Health Ministry said that this is an isolated case. There is no danger from it. The 26-year-old patient, a resident of Hisar, is in isolation at Delhi's LNJP Hospital. His condition is stable. The Health Ministry said, this is not a part of the health emergency issued by WHO. WHO has issued an alert regarding the Clade 1 virus of Mpox. The presence of West African Clade 2 Ampox virus has been confirmed in the patient. The Union Health Ministry has advised all states and union territories to screen and trace contacts of suspected patients of Mpox
