The Union Home Ministry has reserved four MBBS seats in the central pool for the academic session 2024-25 for the enrollment of candidates who are spouses or children of civilians killed or disabled due to terrorism. A government spokesperson said that one seat each has been reserved for this category in AN Magadh Medical College, Gaya (Bihar) and Grant Medical College, Mumbai (Maharashtra), while two seats have been reserved for this category in Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Raipur (Chhattisgarh).
Eligible students of Punjab can also apply for these seats. Under the eligibility criteria for the seats, the age of the candidate should be 17 years at the time of admission or he should have completed this age on or before 31 December of the first year of admission to the undergraduate medical course.
