An arms dealing accused escaped from the custody of CIA-2 by throwing mud in the eyes of a senior policeman. This incident took place outside the office of CIA-2 on August 19 at 5:30 pm. At that time the accused was brought back from the court to the CIA-2 office. Then the accused, seeing the opportunity, first assaulted the senior policeman, then pushed him and ran away. According to the information, on August 18, the CIA-2 team led by police officer Harjap Singh had arrested two accused with weapons from a grocery store near Kailash Nagar Road. During interrogation, both the accused were identified as Awadhesh Ram, resident of New Kuldeep Nagar, Rahul Kumar son of Saroj Rai and K Ajay Kumar.
