During the second counseling session for MD-MS admissions at GMCH-32, 61 out of 76 seats have been allocated. However, due to the absence of any Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates, two out of four seats were converted into the Institutional Preference (IP) pool and the other two into the Union Territory (UT) pool. Mehak Malhotra, who topped the IP pool, was the first candidate to be allotted a seat. With a rank of 589, she chose a seat in radiodiagnosis.
Out of the total 76 seats, 38 were allocated to the IP-UT pool, while 23 went to UT pool students. Only 5 out of 10 seats reserved for the Scheduled Caste (SC) quota were filled due to a limited number of candidates. The remaining five seats will be filled in the second round of counseling. The candidate who secured the 61st seat had a rank of 99,964 and a score of 292, and they opted for a seat in Biochemistry.
The second counseling session is scheduled for September 4th, where further seat allotments will take place.
