In a recent development, the Punjab Vigilance Bureau has apprehended a retired Patwari named Iqbal Singh for allegedly creating counterfeit documents related to Jamabandi of Intkal. Iqbal Singh, who was previously employed in Fazilka Revenue Circle City Jalalabad, District Fazilka, was arrested on the basis of a complaint filed by Rajesh Kumar, a resident of Panje Ke Utad, district Ferozepur. According to the complaint, Iqbal Singh had registered a 4 marla plot that Rajesh had obtained through a transfer deed from his mother Kripa Rani. However, when Rajesh applied for a loan from the bank, it was discovered that the documents were fraudulent.
