A recent survey by Resume Builder has found that 43% of companies plan to incorporate AI technology into their job interview process by 2024. Of these, 15% intend to rely solely on AI for hiring. While 85% of survey participants agreed that AI software could assist in shortlisting candidates, the final decision would still be made by human managers. Interestingly, 50% of respondents believed that AI would eventually replace hiring managers altogether. However, the survey also revealed that 60% of companies currently using Application Tracking Software (ATS) and AI for hiring found that ATS was more effective than AI interviews.
These findings suggest that while AI technology is becoming increasingly prevalent in the hiring process, it is not yet seen as a complete replacement for human decision-making. Companies are still relying on human managers to make the final hiring decisions, and some are finding that other forms of AI technology, such as ATS, are more effective than AI interviews.
