Indian boxer Sachin Siwach (54kg) made it to the pre-quarterfinals of the World Championship. Sachin defeated boxer Sergei Novak of Moldova. Sachin, who was the World Youth Champion, showed his best boxing technique and got hold of the match 5-0. Sachin is playing in the World Championship for the first time. Meanwhile, Naveen and Govind Sahni's challenge ended in the pre-quarterfinals. Naveen (92kg) went down 0-5 against Spain's Emmanuel Reyes. Govind Sahni (48kg) went down 0-5 to top seed Sakhil Alakhvardovi of Georgia.
