ICC has changed the rating of Indore pitch after BCCI's appeal. The ICC had earlier given a poor rating to the Indore pitch. Now it has been changed to 'below average'. After the rating change by the ICC, pitches are now given one demerit point instead of three. During the third Test between India and Australia, the pitch at the Holkar Stadium in Indore came under controversy.
The Test was over in two and a half days, which Australia won by 9 wickets. A panel comprising ICC General Manager Wasim Khan and Men's Cricket Committee member Roger Harper reviewed the footage of this Test and found that there was not enough variable bounce to award the pitch a poor rating.
