In this film, a strong villain character was being searched opposite Shah Rukh Khan. Earlier there were reports of casting Rana Daggubati, who played a negative character in the film Bahubali. But due to a lack of dates, Rana could not do this role. Now there are reports that Tamil film actor Vijay Sethupathi will be playing the role of the villain in the film Jawan. He will soon come to Mumbai to shoot for this film.
However, no official announcement has been made by the makers of the film yet. The film will star South Indian actress Nayanthara alongside Shah Rukh.
