Twitter recently confirmed in one of its recent tweets that it is bringing the edit button to the platform very soon and according to Twitter, this feature is still under development. After Elon Musk acquired 9.2% shares in Twitter, the company asked its followers whether they wanted the edit button or not, and a total of 4 million votes were cast on this survey, in which 73.6% of users voted yes for the edit button feature.
Twitter wrote in its tweet on April 6th "now that everyone is asking… yes, we've been working on an edit feature since last year! no, we didn't get the idea from a poll we're kicking off testing within @TwitterBlue. Labs in the coming months to learn what works, what doesn't, and what's possible." Twitter already revealed under it was working on an Edit button back on April 1, but everyone was suspicious about the statement given by Twitter. The Communications account posted a gif revealing where the “Edit Tweet” button will be - in the triple dot menu, right under Add/remove from Lists.
