The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur has joined hands in doubling the income of farmers and providing technological incentives in the agriculture sector. The Institute's Startup Innovation and Incubation Center have solicited ideas from students and youth. Its purpose is to increase the production of crops, develop cheap agricultural machinery, easy-to-operate equipment for women, technology in crop management, fisheries, and animal husbandry. On meeting the standard, 50 thousand rupees will be given per month for one year to prepare the prototype model. After this, help will be given till the formation of the company and branding of the products. For this, the online application can be made from November 15.
Conditions have been prescribed for the applicants. The age of the applicant should be less than 35 years. With graduation in engineering or any other subject, the idea of the applicant must be based on the solution of anyone problem of smallholding farmers. Its full presentation has to be given.
