Adani Group, one of the largest industrial houses in India, has entered into a strategic partnership with the country's leading e-commerce company Flipkart. While this partnership will start with strengthening the supply chain infrastructure in Mumbai and setting up a data center in Chennai, there are indications that many new possibilities will remain open in the future.
This partnership is also seen as preparation by Adani Group to enter into e-commerce like Reliance Group. According to information provided by the companies, Flipkart under this agreement Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd.'s wholly-owned Adani will work with Logistics. As per the agreement, Adani Group will create a Fulfillment Center in its 5.34 lakh sq ft space at its Mumbai-based logistics hub for Flipkart. To meet the growing demand for e-commerce in Western India, Flipkart will lease it.
