Chinese Defense Ministry spokesman Colonel Tan Kefai said that India and China are in discussions to hold a ninth corps commander-level meeting for the disarmament of security forces in eastern Ladakh.
Tan Kefai told Thursday that in the eighth round of corps commanders' meeting between the forces of China and India, the two sides continued to consult on reducing border forces. It also strengthened the management of security forces along the border.
Referring to the statement issued on the website of the Chinese Ministry of Defense, he told the online media that conditions are often normal in the border areas. China is keen to continue talks with India through military and diplomatic channels. Tan said India is expected to negotiate with China with this goal. The issues of consent need to be implemented in the core commanders' meeting.
